I have. By now you’ve heard, I imagine, the big news for us is that we’ve added another carbon footprint to the world, Corinne Elizabeth Kested to be exact. And, I’ve struggled putting all the emotions that come with this whole daddy phase–less of a phase, more of a lifestyle, I know–into words.

My thoughts thus far are these: 1) I have used the word “surreal” more in the past three weeks than your average, multi-pierced college freshman working the night shift at Starbucks; 2) Corinne has been given more socks than my wife and I own combined; 3) Our family conversation has downgraded to that of a frat-daddy in his sixth year: boobs and poop!

And then there are these overwhelmingly sweet moments that I wish I could bottle for the rest of my life and pull out on a dreary day, or even a superb one. (Credit: Dr. Parsley).
